Pillow talk! Just recently I was asked to make a scatter of pillows, for a couple of teenage girls. They specifically wanted some quotes on their pillows, which is all right (at the time). Until I saw how long these quotes were. They took awhile to make, as all the letters were paper pieced. Plus pulling the paper off afterwards was a pain in the backside. Once that was done though, the rest was easy and quick. I lightly quilted the front of the pillow, added a back and then stuffed them. Signature Blocks Fantastic Beasts Quilt Along. Whenever I take part in a quilt along, the hosts always ask for a Signature Block. It is in no way compulsory, it is for those who would like to send one to the designer.  And to be honest, the quilt along I have been taking part in, the patterns are always free, so it is a big pleasure to send the designer / host a signature block. So what do the designers to with the signature blocks? Well, you can turn them into a memory quilt. How awesome! That’s why, when I ran my very first quilt alongRead More →

Here is the finished quilt, just before I gave it to my brother, the photo obviously needs lots of improvement. I did some pebbling on the dragon’s skin, and straight line stitching. The background is a small meander. I used marbleRead More →
