2017 Year of the UFO It is sad to say, that the second half of 2016 flew by so fast, I hardly had time to post patterns and tutorials. From September to this past Wednesday I was super busy running a quilt along which was hosted by Fandom in Stitches. I blogged and posted a LOT on FIS and the Facebook page for Fantastic Beasts Quilt Along, and did not have time for my own site. This will be corrected asap. And should not have happened, but I did learn a lot from this Quilt Along, even though I prepared for it for a year,Read More →

The Road Home Row Along Show and Tell Day So today is the last day of the The Home Row Along, and it is show and tell day. I absolutely loved ALL of the rows, and I plan on making all of them and making a queen sized quilt. The layout is not finalized yet, but I will share that when I get to that point. Now! I had every intention of presenting a full queen sized quilt top for show and tell day, but life and other events, have put a serious damper on those plans for now. What I do have to showRead More →

This is my first Row Along and it has been so much fun designing what I saw in my head.  I grew up in southern Maine with the ocean on one side of us and a mountain (my husband calls it a hill, lol) on the other side.  I love walking through the woods as much as spending time gazing out across the ocean.  Our lobsters and famous Nubble Lighthouse attracts people from all over. I hope you enjoy this rendition of our state.Read More →

The Road Home Row Along, Amanzimtoti, South Africa (NB! to comment, click on the comment box right underneath the heading of the post or at the very bottom of the post.) First I need to say a very big thank you to Amy Warner of Sew Incredibly Crazy and Marian Pena of Seams to be Sew for organizing another fantastic event. There has been a lot of hard work planning and gathering sponsors for this row along. And I can’t thank you enough. Plus we must not forget any of the bloggers and quilters who has designed a row for this row along, they areRead More →

Row Along, Blog Hops and Quilt Along It had been so crazy busy in my quilting life, that I have not had time to blog. Which is depressing. But I am going to have a lot to show you in the next couple of weeks and it is going to be awesome. The first one is the Road Home Row Along starting 6 September 2016 and ends on 4 October 2016 with a show and tell day.  Where some of the quilters will show full finished quilts made from some of the rows. With 40+ rows, there will definitely something for everyone. September 6 Allie-OopsRead More →

The latest Star Trek patterns has now been uploaded to the Star Trek pattern download page, here. There are some new ones and some corrected ones on the page, and the newest most exciting patterns set for me, is the Vulcan Insignia, now all complete. I just love how those ones finished off. Tomorrow I am releasing my complete Vulcan Script (Alphabet) set for the Star Trek Series. It has been revealed on Fandom in Stitches already, here. Look out for the download on the Star Trek page tomorrow for the Vulcan Script set. *** It had been quiet on the blog writing front, asRead More →

Summer Sensations Camping Today marks the first day of the Summer Sensations Blog Hop hosted by Marian from Seams To Be Sew. I am not sure which fountain she finds all the energy and time from, but I want the GPS location please. So, what do I think of when I think of Summer Sensations, well for me it is camping. I love summer and camping in nature, looking up at the stars and feeling the breeze on my face, listening to the crickets singing their songs. I especially love the thought of summer right now, as I live in the Southern Hemisphere and itRead More →

There is a little hint in my comment above.  Plus there is a whole bunch of other quilt and crafty bloggers ready to share their ideas for this blog hop. I hope to see you all here and at the other sites, while browsing through all the goodies showingRead More →

Klingon Bat’leth from Star Trek (Click on the image above to download this pattern) Here we have another TNG (The Next Generation) pattern, Worf’s Bat’leth. According to Klingon mythology, the first bat’leth was forged by Kahless the Unforgettable in the 9th century. Kahless cut a lock of his hair and dropped it into the lava of the Kri’stak volcano, then plunged the burning lock into the Lake of Lusor and twisted it into a blade. After forging the weapon, he used it to fight the tyrant Molor, and then gave it its name. This story was not recorded in public texts, but was passed downRead More →

The Borg Queen Welcome back to another Star Trek pattern! This pattern is the Borg Queen from Star Trek, she appears in several episodes of The Next Generation and Voyager, and in the movie First Contact.  I have been working on this pattern for some time now, and have been delaying sharing it until the time was perfect.   The pattern is the perfect size for a wall hanging, but can easily be turned into a small quilt with some borders. My friend Jennifer Ofenstein loves Star Trek just as much as I do, so this was the perfect gift to make. Some of youRead More →
