Star Trek Christmas Themed Table Runner

Image

A Star Trek Christmas Themed Table Runner.

YES! I did say that. Am I mad, nuts, crazy in the head? NO!! This year I decided to make things more fun for me, as opposed to doing things like “normal” people. Because, I am not normal in anyway whatsoever. This pattern is free to download, just for my fans and followers. I hope you enjoy it, and please email me a photo if you make one of these. I would love to see what you have made.

Star Trek Christmas Themed Table Runner

This one above, is the original design. The photo below is what I made from the pattern. You can choose if you want the original series logo, without the ovals. Or from the Next Generation, logo with the ovals. Easy!

The pattern is appliqued 25 x 12". You can obviously make it bigger or smaller, mix things up a bit.

You can download the pattern here.

The next couple of days I will maintain online silence for a bit, as I get ready for a cross country trip to visit with my sister.  Plus the last minutes Christmas present rush to finish off. A couple of quilts for little nieces and nephews, children and parents.

I am hoping to get one more post in before leaving on Friday, as I have some Star Wars Sith robes to show off. I have no pattern for it. A friend Jennifer Ofenstein from Fandom in Stitches, gave me some guidelines to work with, plus my friend is 6 foot something, so I had to wing it a bit.  I a going to try and get that post out on Thursday afternoon after we have gone to watch Star Wars.

Other than that I will only be posting again next week sometime with updates on the Minnie Mouse quilt, Bonsai Quilt,  a quilted Christmas Apron.

Vulcan Harp

Image

The Vulcan Harp is the first pattern I found, when I searched for Star Trek pattern just over a year ago. It is this harp that got me going to design my own patterns. And what a journey it has been so far.

Spock, Star Trek, Vulcan Harp

Vulcan Harp

I still need to add the strings, which will be embroidered into the pattern. I made two little mistakes, one of the dots is darker than the others. Oops. And one part of the pattern I just could not line up. This is definitely my mistake and not a problem with the pattern, because when I trimmed one of the sections, I accidentally trimmed a little to much.

As with all things quilting and crafty, it was meant to be like that, yeah. That’s my story and I am sticking with it.

If you would like this pattern, then you can download it at

Edited 27.02.2017

Please note, the designer has removed all of her designs and is no longer available to download.

Hopefully we can find someone who can design a new one for us soon.

Star Trek Vulcan Script

Image

The Star Trek Vulcan Script is in progress.

I just wanted to update everyone on upcoming Star Trek patterns coming out.

Star Trek Vulcan Script, Star Trek, quilting, paper piecing, pattern

This is the first of +- 26 script from the Vulcan language. They will each symbolize a letter of the alphabet. The one above is “A”.

These will be designed as 5″ paper piece blocks, which I will be using as a border for my Star Trek quilt when it is done.

For now I will not be sharing the Vulcan Script patterns, as I want to put them all out into one big blog post. Once you have all of the patterns, you can mix and match them, to make words or people’s names.

These patterns will all be free to download, so no worries there.

As I near the end of my quilt, I don’t feel like I have done nearly enough. I haven’t covered all the bases.

So have come to the decision, that I will be carrying on making patterns for Star Trek, as there is all the series and all the movies, and all the aliens and planet and ships ……. need I say more.

Plus there is the new timeline, we are rapidly approaching the third installment of Star Trek. And a brand new series will be making its appearance in 2017. Yes, yes, YES! All with brand new aliens and planets, and costume designs. The pattern ideas is endless.

For the foreseeable future, there will be an unlimited supply of new patterns coming out.

If anyone would like something specific, from anything in Star Trek, let me know in the contact form below or the comment field.

And I will gladly design something for you.

On the fun side, I have designed a Christmas themed Star Trek table runner for the holidays, which I will share with everyone as soon as I  finish it off. I just couldn’t help myself.

V’ger, Star Trek

Image

V’ger, Star Trek the Motion picture is today’s brand new pattern for our Star Trek pattern series.

On its journey back, it amassed so much knowledge, it achieved consciousness itself. It became a living thing.

– James T. Kirk

V’ger appeared in Star Trek the Motion Picture and is the remnant of an unmanned space probe called Voyager 6. It en-massed a tremendous energy cloud around V’ger measured as equivalent in size to Earth’s orbit.

I recently finished my Creepy Crawly Halloween Haunts Applique quilt.  The post can be found here.
