Quilt Qwazy Queens Day Two

Quilt Qwazy Queens Day Two

Welcome to Quilt Qwazy Queens Blog Hop Day 2, hosted by Marian at Seams to Be Sew. You’ll find the list of other participants at the end of my post who are also offering daily giveaways. Thank you, Marian, for hosting another brilliant hop.

Our theme this year is UFO’s (Unfinished Objects), you know! Those quilt tops you finished and not quilted yet. Or maybe you haven’t even made all the blocks yet for a complete quilt top.

After much debate with myself about how I am going to show my huge amount of UFO’s, I made the decision to show you ONLY 20 of them, and not all 87!

And to make it easier, I left them all in 1 photo and not 20.

In this photo I have the following UFO’s; Fantastic Beasts 1 & 2, I want to believe, Pink Kitty, Pinstripe Crossing, Star Trek quilt, My Favourite Things, Project of Doom, Signature top, Pinwheel table runner, T Shirt quilt, Ipad Quilt, Place mats, Candlewicking quilt, Fall panel, Camping quilt, Little pink house, Stacked Windows, and Paper Piecing Vintage.

These are the ones, that I had every intention of finishing off this year… what a laugh. This year, is turning out to be just as busy as last year.  But I will persevere.

Please go and visit the other ladies who is posting today, to see what they have been busy with.

  1. It is comforting to see others’ ufo’s.

  2. Even if you do just a few a year, it helps. That’s quite a pile of UFOs! I can’t imagine what 87 would look like. I never put all mine in one place. LOL

  3. 87 is a lot. You could give a few away or just don’t count them. I got 12 from a friend, finished them for her and donated to Women’s Shelter. Made everyone happy.

  4. Isn’t it fun tho to get them out and reminisce about them. Even when I was looking thru my UFOs the memories of them came flooding back. I don’t have many and 87 would be way to many for me, but still, I can remember the reason I made every single one of them. 🙂

  5. 87 UFO’s – WOW! It should be fun to get some of them done. Thank you for sharing with us.

  6. My guild ties donated tops and gives them to fire victims, if there are tips in your UFO pile that don’t inspire you anymore that may be something offered near you too.

  7. Love the block on the lower left of the photo! Good luck getting it all done.

  8. That’s quite a stash! The Star Trek one looks really cool. Hopefully you’ll find the time to start on them soon.

  9. That’s a lot of UFOs but give me time and I might caught up one day.

  10. Good luck with your UFOs. I find so many great ideas online for new things to make that it’s hard to keep from starting new projects!

  11. UFOs are hard to finish. I have an accumulation that I keep saying I’m going to do, and then something else comes along!!

  12. 87 UFO’s! How do you find the time?

  13. you have got this. if only you finish five this year, you still have finished five.

    1. Great encouragement!

  14. Wow that is a lot of UFO but there are others like me in the same boat.

  15. Where do you keep 87 UFOs? Hope they are all small projects

  16. I bet you have some that are very near finishing. Start with those first.

  17. That’s a lot of UFOs. I have no advise on how to go about finishing them.

  18. I recognize some of those blocks. I’ve got to take inventory of all my UFOs. Like you, some are incomplete blocks, incomplete quilt tops and finished tops. Once I have that done, I can prioritize. I know there are 2 I have to get done by June – and those are the 2 that I have the least done on. ARGH!!!

  19. I think you win as crazy queen of ufo’s, 87, lol

  20. Your a brave woman. I don’t have the courage to actually count all that I have! LOL!! We almost need a followup blog hop about the ones we actually did finish at the end of the year! 🙂

  21. How versatile you are! Good luck in your finishings!

  22. Hi, Vanda
I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to fit all of my UFOs in one picture unless it were taken with a wide angle lens. Great post. Good luck on finishing some of the them.

  23. You have some cute blocks! I need to get in gear and finish some UFOs….

  24. You dared to count! You are a braver quilter than I am. I just picked one, ignored the rest and am trying to do my best. May we can get some of them done somehow, someway … though I seem to be generating more as I type … sigh. We could do this theme every year … maybe I might get this one done by next year … 😉 Pat

  25. Our local quilt shop has a PhD program each month this helps me keep my unfinished projects down. But I am always finding something new to start.

  26. Time to pick one and get it done.

  27. Lots of fun projects. Thank you for sharing. Have fun with all your UFOs. Have a great day! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom

  28. 87? Yes!!! I’m proud of hiw creative you are!

  29. Well, Vanda, I can relate to thinking you would be able to tackle all of those projects this year–as well as the new ones you would inevitably take on, right? I’m wondering if some of the UFO’s might be combined into the same project, so that you’d wind up with samplers showing the different things you’d been interested in over the years? Just a thought.

  30. Well, they look like small enough square that you could make a lot of mug rugs, pot holders, or mini quilts to finish them faster.

  31. Wow! 87 UFO’s. I have one plus 2 kits to start.

  32. I have some UFOs and I can’t stand it. I want to get them finished and have been working on them. 5 are finished tops and are in the to be quilted pile. I told myself this is the year of finishes but I want to start something new so bad. Don’t know how long I’ll last.

  33. You are in very good, friendly company with those UFOs! I pull one of my larger ones out every month and work on it for an afternoon, then put it away again. Someday, it will be done! It’s good to be busy!

  34. Love that stack of blocks.

  35. It is fun to see everyone’s ufos. Inspiring me to finish some of mine.

  36. Thanks for sharing!! Makes rest of us feel better, knowing we (& our own UFO’s are in Great company!! 🙂 Just keep plugging away at that list (or share with other quilter’s..) The list will get shorter…or longer if you add new UFO’s to it! giggle…

  37. Thanks for sharing your projects. Lots of inspiration.

  38. You have some delightful UFO’s! Thanks for sharing all this eye candy, and for this fun hop!

  39. Oh gosh! Did you count all your UFOs? 87 really? I might be up there as well. I’m afraid to count, hehe. We were just given notice we had to move as the owners are selling. So, maybe I’ll count as I’m packing 😉

  40. 87 UFO’s? Oh wow, I’d be completely overwhelmed. I hope you find the time to work on some of them.

  41. OK — you win. You have way more unfinished things than I do, but I still have too many.

  42. I saw some UFO’s I kinda like in there. lol thanks for sharing 🙂

  43. You are one busy lady! That’s a lot of UFO’s! They all look fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

  44. I wish I had enough space for over 80 UFO’s! Good luck finishing them all!

  45. Wow – you know the total count of your UFOs? You are braver than I am. I am being pretty good about completing what I start the last couple years but the previous UFOs are not on my radar.

  46. I imagine it’d be hard to photograph all 87!
