Today marks the first day of the Summer Sensations Blog Hop hosted by Marian from Seams To Be Sew. I am not sure which fountain she finds all the energy and time from, but I want the GPS location please.
So, what do I think of when I think of Summer Sensations, well for me it is camping. I love summer and camping in nature, looking up at the stars and feeling the breeze on my face, listening to the crickets singing their songs. I especially love the thought of summer right now, as I live in the Southern Hemisphere and it is freezing cold. Summer can’t come fast enough.
This is what I came up with for the blog hop.
Camping themed quilt.
40 x 40 inch quilt, just add binding.
This is a paper pieced pattern.
(Clicking on the picture above, will take you to the download page)
Pattern will be available soon in my Craftsy shop.
For the duration of the blog hop, this pattern will be free, so grab it while you can, as it will be going up for sale.
My finished quilt top looks like this. I still have to quilt it and add the orange binding.
Unfortunately the lighting was terrible when I took the photo.
And these are some close ups of the separate pieces.
Now for the schedule of other bloggers that is taking part in the Summer Sensations Blog Hop.
Thanks again to Marian for hosting this event. She can be found at
Special note: Every effort has been made to make sure the pattern is correct. But should you find a mistake please let me know via email (in the pattern) and will correct the pattern and resend it to you.
Thank you for visiting my post today and please visit all the other bloggers as well.
