Summer Sensations Camping

Summer Sensations Camping

Summer sensationsToday marks the first day of the Summer Sensations Blog Hop hosted by Marian from Seams To Be Sew. I am not sure which fountain she finds all the energy and time from, but I want the GPS location please.

So, what do I think of when I think of Summer Sensations, well for me it is camping. I love summer and camping in nature, looking up at the stars and feeling the breeze on my face, listening to the crickets singing their songs. I especially love the thought of summer right now, as I live in the Southern Hemisphere and it is freezing cold. Summer can’t come fast enough.

This is what I came up with for the blog hop.

Camping themed quilt.

Summer Sensations Camping40 x 40 inch quilt, just add binding.

This is a paper pieced pattern.

(Clicking on the picture above, will take you to the download page)

Pattern will be available soon in my Craftsy shop.

For the duration of the blog hop, this pattern will be free, so grab it while you can, as it will be going up for sale.

My finished quilt top looks like this. I still have to quilt it and add the orange binding.

Unfortunately the lighting was terrible when I took the photo.

And these are some close ups of the separate pieces.

What a clever quilt, and perfect for this hop! Thanks so much for making your pattern available to us all.

  2. Ok, I thought the fountain was cute… ๐Ÿ™‚ What a great project, I use to love going camping, I can remember even the days just doing summer camps. As a married couple, my hubby and I use to use a tent, my favorite way of camping, but my parents owned a camper to go camping with. Thank you so much Vanda.

Wow, that pattern is wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing it. It will make a lovely gift quilt for my relatives who love to camp.

Just got done with a “short” long weekend of camping last weekend. Thanks for sharing your pattern!

Your quilt is very cute. I needed his when my grandson went on his first camping trip this summer.

Your design definitely brings back memories of backpacking in the BWCA of northern MN. Luckily we never encountered the bear.

Cute, cute, cute! My husband and I camped for years and then finally bought a fifth wheel. I miss those days.
