Star Trek DS9 Station

Today I am sharing the newest Star Trek pattern, DS9, the station.

finished 10 x 10 ” paper pieced block excluding the seam allowance. (Click on the image for the pdf download)

Wow, was I excited when I got this request, DS9 is towards the top of my list of favorites in Star Trek. And the DS9 pattern was born.

I will be making some more patterns soon based on DS9, I will keep you posted on that.

And the reason I am so slow with the Star Trek patterns at the moment, (besides being sick recently) is …

Please book the date, I really hope you will join me for this quilt along.

The quilt along will be hosted by Fandom in Stitches

As soon on Fandom in Stitches2

PS: Because of the #fbqal I have not been able to blog patterns so much.  I will be showing some fabrics and layouts soon for Fantastic Beasts, that I will be sharing with Jennifer at Fandom in Stitches.

Nine Mens Morris

The second block for the Play with me Quilt Along is done, Alida revealed it last week Monday.

Here is mine. I enjoyed making this one, paper piecing is my favorite form of making a quilt blocks. And this one was super easy. Somehow I managed to miss getting the seams lined up, and will be sorting that out for the perfectionist in me.

I have to confess, I have never heard of Nine Mens Morris.

Alida, has kindly added the how to play, and rules for each block, so I will be learning how to play it soon, and she will add how to make the play pieces for the block soon.

POD Quilt a long 2015

POD Quilt a long 2015

It is with great excitement that the new Project of doom Quilt a long (POD Quilt a long 2015) for 2015 was announced late last year. The super vibe that swept through the Facebook Group Project of Doom, (click on the name or here to go through and find out about this fantastic quilting project) was and still is awesome. The POD is based on the Harry Potter Movies. Yes it is still very popular.

On 7 January 2015 we received our first pattern Week 1 on the Fandom of Stitches Website. Once a week every Wednesday we will get a new pattern to make, until the 30th week, when we will be working on stitching all the blocks together to make up the complete quilt that will look like a bookcase.

Fandom in Stitches Week 1 Pattern for Project of Doom

This is my attempt for Pattern Week 1, which is found here.

I absolutely love quilting, and especially paper piecing. Every week I will add a new post with my new finished block and a link to the pattern.

Unfortunately I did not think about showing how I sewed the block. But will include it into my next post based on POD 2015.
