*A Pastoral Letter of Gratitude – To our beloved Parish Family*

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am writing to you today with a heart full of gratitude, to thank each and every one of you for your continued generosity, faithfulness and commitment to the life and ministry of our parish.

At our previous Parish Council meeting, we reflected with deep appreciation on the increased financial support that our parish has received. It was a moment of genuine encouragement, and one that I believe deserves to be shared with the whole parish family.

I am mindful that we live in challenging economic times. Many households are feeling the pressures of rising living costs, and there are often difficult decisions to be made about how we use the resources entrusted to us. Against this background, your generosity is particularly meaningful. I recognise that for some, giving to the Church involves real personal sacrifice, and I want you to know that your faithfulness is seen, valued and deeply appreciated.

Saint Paul reminds us: _“God loves a cheerful giver.”_ (2 Corinthians 9:7)

These words remind us that Christian generosity flows from the heart. It is an expression of our love for God, our gratitude for His blessings, and our commitment to one another as members of the Body of Christ.

Every contribution, regardless of its size, helps sustain the worship, pastoral care, outreach and daily life of our parish. It allows us to maintain our places of worship, care for our buildings, support our ministries and continue being a Christian presence within the communities we serve.

Yet, I also want to acknowledge that generosity takes many forms. Some give financially, others offer their time, their talents, their prayers, their labour, or a quiet act of kindness that may never be noticed by anyone else. All these gifts are precious, and all contribute to the life of our Church.

As your priest, one of my greatest joys is witnessing the many ways in which God is at work among you. Our parish may be spread across different communities, but we are united in our calling to love God, care for one another, and share the hope of Christ with the world around us.

We are reminded that everything we have is a gift entrusted to our care. We are called to be faithful stewards of those gifts, using them wisely and generously for the good of others and the glory of God.

Please be assured that your contributions are received with gratitude and with a responsibility to ensure that the resources of our parish are managed carefully, transparently and faithfully. This is a responsibility that I, together with our Churchwardens, Treasurer and Parish Council, take seriously.

As we look towards the future, I pray that we will continue to grow as a parish rooted in prayer, strengthened by fellowship, generous in spirit and courageous in mission. There is much that God is calling us to do, and I am grateful that we are walking this journey together.

On behalf of the Parish Council, and personally as your pastor, thank you. Thank you for your generosity, for your trust, for your prayers, and above all, for the love you continue to show towards Christ and His Church.

May God bless you and your families, provide for your needs, strengthen you in times of difficulty, and fill your hearts and homes with His peace.

With heartfelt gratitude, love and prayers,

Revd Vanda
