But things went very pear shaped straight after that. I am only now feeling some normality returning to my life, so after I finish of some commitments with some hops andRead More →

Summer Sensations Camping Today marks the first day of the Summer Sensations Blog Hop hosted by Marian from Seams To Be Sew. I am not sure which fountain she finds all the energy and time from, but I want the GPS location please. So, what do I think of when I think of Summer Sensations, well for me it is camping. Cabbage Patch Kids This cute pattern was designed with someone in mind who loves them. Her name is Amber, and she is my official pattern tester. Amber has an extensive collection of Cabbage Patch Dolls, so when I was thinking of what to make her, the answer was obvious. This one is from the Forest Friends Series, the Frog. I just love how this pattern worked out. Orange, green and blue is Amber’s favorite colors, making the decision on which doll to make much easier. I scrolled through all the dolls, until I found one with those colors, wallah. Done. The blue and orange fabricRead More →

Philosophers Stone from Harry Potter The is the newest pattern made for a request. The lady, Jo, is making a Harry Potter quilt for her son, and wanted this faceted Philosophers Stone, to add to the patterns. The pattern is 10 inches finished, and paper pieced. The patterns are colored, to make it easier to sew the pattern. You can see from Jo’s block, that she chose to make the bottom a book, but this can be left as the background as well. This is an ongoing project hosted by Fandom in Stitches The original quilt along happened in 2011 and revitalized in 2015, andRead More →

To download the pattern click on the photo. Designed and tested by Vanda Chittenden 20 x 20 inch paper pieced with applique This pattern was inspired by Snape and his love for Lily. “But this is touching, Severus,” said Dumbledore seriously. “Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?” “For him?” shouted Snape. “Expecto Patronum!” From the tip of his wand burst the silver doe. She landed on the office floor,Read More →
