Cabbage Patch Kids This cute pattern was designed with someone in mind who loves them. Her name is Amber, and she is my official pattern tester. Amber has an extensive collection of Cabbage Patch Dolls, so when I was thinking of what to make her, the answer was obvious. This one is from the Forest Friends Series, the Frog. I just love how this pattern worked out. Orange, green and blue is Amber’s favorite colors, making the decision on which doll to make much easier. I scrolled through all the dolls, until I found one with those colors, wallah. Done. The blue and orange fabricRead More →

Now, I will be completely honest with you. This was the first time I tried reverse applique …. and I didn’t like it. But after having a chat with Alida, I will try this technique again on a different pattern, I might change my mind. I chose two bright colors for the triangles behind a plain blue foreground. As an afterthought, i probably should have chosen a more vibrant color. Each block in thisRead More →
